6. Cathedral steps and Sant Marti church

Walk up the 90 Baroque steps where Cersei did the Walk of Shame in Game of Thrones. The exterior of the Cathedral and Sant Marti are free. Cathedral interior costs 15 euros (combined ticket).

7. Sant Pere de Galligants cloister exterior

The 12th century Romanesque monastery has one of the most beautiful cloisters in Catalonia. Exterior free, museum interior 4.5 euros. Worth visiting both ways.

8. Jardins dels Alemanys ruins

Hidden gardens behind the Cathedral with the ruins of an 18th century barracks. Free, quiet and one of the best sunset spots away from the crowds.

9. Devesa park

Catalonia’s largest urban park, with 100 year old plane trees that form a green tunnel in summer. Free open-air markets every Tuesday and Saturday. 10 minute walk from the Old Town.

10. Time the Temps de Flors festival (May)
